A tribute to my very first meal of the New Year: Oh man, I finally understand the expression " less is more" because of Five Guys Burgers. I've had some really good burgers all over this great nation: White Castle (Midwest), In n' Out (Cali and Vegas), Fatburger and Tommy Burger (LA), Pearl's (San Francisco), Squeeze Inn (Sacramento), Black Bear (Napa), Kuma's Corner (Chicago), Ikeda's (Auburn and Davis, CA) and now Five Guys...finally. I've heard their name being floated around from time to time around In n' Out location especially so I wasn't too surprised to see that they kept the menu simple with some additional upgrades to the burger formula. I'm mainly talking about bacon. Bacon bacon bacon....how I love the stuff. And it's the thin crispy kind of bacon that crumbles in your mouth the moment you pop it in your mouth. Not that froofy applewood smoked nonsense. This is good ol' fashioned bacon that compliments beef, not overpowers it. I'm not a huge beef eating kind of girl anymore. I lean towards buffalo or chicken nowadays but once or twice a month, I get a little lightheaded and incredibly sluggish and find that a boost of red meat really perks a girl up. I also use blood donations as an excuse to myself to eat more burgers as well. :-) I thought it was safe to come in for lunch at 3:00 but I was definitely wrong. So very wrong. The parking lot was packed, the smell of beef was in the air, and the crowd inside was buzzing. Thankfully, they have on-line ordering if you're in a hurry. The line to order was backed up along the wall and around the corner but the cashier up front was very efficient and I was up there in no time flat. I kind of starved myself in anticipation of all the fries I was planning on eating but decided to stick with the little burger with bacon, everything, and jalapenos with a side of regular fries. Lunch comes out to around $10 with a drink but you get to play that fun Coke machine and fulfill every gluttonous Coke-filled desire you may have had as a kid. I only had to wait about 4 minutes as the crew quickly went from order #76 to #88 in practically no time flat. To fill the time and space in my stomach, I grabbed a few peanuts by the door and grabbed a seat by the Coke machine. My first glance into the fry filled sack sort of made me regret ordering the fries. People are not joking around when they say the portions are HUGE! It fills half a small paper bag and they're thick fresh cut and hot! (insert Homer SImpson drool) My first bite into the burger immediately brought to mind the HIMYM episode where Marshall looks for that perfect burger in NYC. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Th… I love fancy burgers and I love trying new things but these guys, these five guy have sort of perfected the classic burger. A small sesame seed bun, fresh crispy lettuce, lots of grilled onion, soft American cheese, a sloppy amount of condiments, soft well done burger meat, and fresh jalapenos all wrapped up in a piece of foil is exactly how I used to eat it as a kid. It almost brought a tear to my eye remembering the picnics and cookouts in the forest preserves from many years ago. Or maybe it was the jalapeno that went down the wrong tube? Either way, it was tasty. This is a great place to take a group of friends, kids, and hungry hungry hippos. The best part about the experience is people watching, listening to the kitchen, and plotting the next Coca Cola concoction. The best part about leaving is munching on a greasy brown paper sack filled with thick fries and ketchup. Five Guys, I broke my own "no food in the car" rule for you. You're just that darn good.

I've always been a fan of Five Guys, but I'm going to have to REALLY crave their food in order to go back here. Jam packed, no walking room and hardly had standing room, slow service and incredibly loud. Premedicate with Valium before going here.

  • Chris H.

Employees are super nice and the fries are good. I can't eat much else there and I wish the grilled cheese and veggie sandwich were not on a bun, but I can just stick to fries.

I have loved Five Guys and Fries since they got here to Colorado Springs. While the menu choices may be what some consider small, there is so much room to make it your own that it really is quite large. I did get a regular hamburger today (which I usually get two little hamburgers so I can mix up my toppings) and a little order of Cajun fries. There are two places I love the fries here in town, Five Guys and Red Robin, everywhere else can keep them. Anyhow, great, very fresh, burgers as always! I recommend: Little Burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo, and jalapeno And Little Burger with A1 Sauce, sauteed onions, and sauteed mushrooms And remember, a LITTLE order of fries is just enough for 2 people. Keep up the yummy burgers and fries!

For fast food, you can't beat Five Guys.

Ordered online, arrived at the store 10 minutes later...waited an additional 20 minutes for the order! Why bother ordering online if you still have to wait once you arrive? Food was okay, but the overall experience was bad, I won't return!

I have visited Five Guys burger joints in several states, they are always clean and they do one thing very well... BURGERS! If by chance your burger is not to your liking for any reason, they will gladly make you another.

Five guys is good... but not great. I really want to like this place more then I do. I will preface this review by saying that I do enjoy the food and usually go here once every few months. First, the positives: the food tastes good. They cook everything to order. Everytime you order they scream "ONE PATTY!" Indicating they are putting in your order to be cooked. So there is no fear of a burger being placed under hot light. They also deep fry the fries as you order and the place an incredible amount of extra fries in the bag. Very nice touch as they are not being stingy with the food. I would recommend asking for the cajun style fries, they are the only way I go. They also have a Coke Freestyle machine, which isn't a plus for me, but my brother absolutely loves it. When he sees that machine its like a 3 year old in a ice cream shop. Now with the negatives it is borderline too greasy and you do feel like you might have removed 5 minutes off your life by eating this caloric nuclear bomb. Also, the food is a bit too expensive. When my wife and I go there, we order two small burgers a fry and one drink and it runs around 16 dollars for the two of us. I feel like for what we are getting it is a little too much money. Nevertheless, I still feel like the food is good and we do frequent this restaurant. I would recommend this to a friend with a few disclaimers.

  • Michael D.

I don't know what the big deal is with this burger joint, but it's definitely overrated. Smashburger is way better than this. I give it a 2 because they cooked it the way I liked it.

Fantastically food. The burgers are amazing with fresh beef and ingredients. I love the fact that burger options are simple to order. Far fries are fresh and I lie the Cajun seasoning ones. Have not tried their hot dogs but says they are kosher beef. Prices are reasonable just below a dine in restaurant but higher than fast food. Only gripe was that the soda machine is one of the types that can blend cola with multiple flavors but they seem to have been out of flavors so just normal soda options and there were a lot of kids running around but it was Father's Day so likely not a regular thing. Definitely recommend if you live burger and fries but don't love to done out at a normal restaurant or prefer take out.

We chose this restaurant for it's great prix fix for lunch we had a cozy corner table to start. They have reasonable priced wines at lunch which is considerate so we enjoyed a bottle with our delicious and affordable fancy lunch.

I got a cheeeseburger with LT and ketchup and I barely could taste the very thin burger. All I could taste is ketchup. With all the hype I was quite shocked. The fries were great but I went there to get a great burger. So disappointed.

Just eat here.. it's Five Guys..need anymore explanation??

  • Ron S.

I finally gave Five Guys it a try tonight. Yes, it's good. But no, it's not as good as In 'n' Out... not nearly. I ordered a cheeseburger and small fries and that cost over $8.50--and I didn't even order a drink. Ouch. That's darn expensive. The fries are good, but they came in a cup that was hastily shoved into the paper bag that the burger came in so there were fries all over the place and tons had fallen out. Yes, it's a good, greasy, yummy mess, but it's expensive, and I'd appreciate a little more care when packaging the burger and fries in their paper bags soaking with grease. Consider this: I went to Red Robin about two weeks ago, also paid about $8 for a cheeseburger and fries, and got a MUCH larger burger, and it was at a sit-down restaurant where they also serve beer. I prefer that experience to this.

Amazing burgers, and possibly the best fries ever. Bring your appetite, it's definitely going to fill you up!

Nothing like walking in and seeing an employee SLEEPING at one of the tables right inside the front door! Told the manager this may not be the first impression she wants for customers, she agreed - then did nothing about it for the next 10 mins. Eventually sleeping beauty got up and went to work (this is @ 1130 AM). Busy place on a Saturday with decent burgers. That's the problem - only decent for a huge price. Grilled mushrooms shouldnt be cold and should have some evidence of actually having been on a grill -its not a high bar. With the loud music (albeit good music) preventing normal conversation and management unwilling to turn it down after several different customers requested - this is a burger best served to go - or bought elsewhere. One star for the non-mushroom part of the burger and the good (but too loud) music - I didn't want to talk with my party anyway.

    (1)
  • Mike W.

The burger is good, but not anymore special than Wendy's, Carl's Jr, or some other various drive-thru run of the mill burger. I'd skip this place, and go to Drifter's for a good burger in the Springs area.

    (2)
  • Dog L.

Most nervousing place I've been to in my life the music is too loud and the employees are extremely rude do not eat here the food on a scale of one to ten is a 3

Hair in the food. No response from the manager. Will never eat there again. Makes me gag every time I think about it.

I just don't understand why this place always wins best of. I've been twice now and both times the burger has been bland and very greasy. I really wanted to like this place too!

If you are on the north side of town, this is a must stop. French fries are the best in town. Messy burgers but very tasty. Yummy!

Okay. Obviously there is nothing I can really say here that hasn't already been said except that to compare 5 Guys to In N Out is not really fair. I grew up in SoCal and will always have a special place in my stomach for the In N Out Urge (if you were in SoCal in the 80's then you KNOW what I'm talking about!!!). Anyway - a comparison between the two is not only unjust but impossible. I don't know what to compare comparing them to but it's way too much comparisoning so I digress. Anwyay - I moved to the DC area at some point in my totally awesome culinary life and found and fell in love with the ORIGINAL 5 Guys locaiton (in Alexandria, VA). The bottom burger line is that the only way to get a better burger in this price range is to make one yourself in your back-yard. That is really the meat of what I'm trying to say. Done. And. Done. Son :) BTW - It is UNBELIEVABLE to me that there is only ONE location in Colorado Springs. If anyone has a couple of hundred thou laying around and wants to get a location going I'd be happy to handle getting it up-and-running and providing management. Drop me a line? LOL

"Yum! Burgertastic!" Greasy! Salty! Amazing! If you like burgers and fries, Five Guys delivers.

I love this burger although this onewasnt as steaming hot as others I have had. Great choices and the focus is burgers. I want one in north Denver !

  • Dominic G.

Great burger like every five guys... next time though, I'd like some fries with my salt.. blehh Also, the drink station.. you have to wait in line for people to figure out how to use them!

  • Tim K.

Five Guys has a simple yet solid burger and quite possibly the best fries here in Colorado Springs (best fries in the state are at Merle's in Littleton). But it's still basically a fast food joint; and me paying around $10 for a combo doesn't happen very often. I guess I've just never bought into the hype. Maybe if a burger was half of what they currently charge... I have a feeling their business will suffer greatly once CRAVE opens across the street in the old Fatburger location. They have inventive and gourmet burgers at a comparable price. I for one won't be back to FGB&F.

My son insisted we have dinner here and he usually only has that 6 year old enthusiasm for a certian chain. I loved the red and white interior. Made the place seem bright and cheery. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and almost was intimidated by the "that's two patties" from the cashier. That was until I unwrapped the burger. The burger was cooked to perfection. Tasted moist and juicy. I loved the variety of toppings you can get on the burger... Even fresh jalopenos. The Cajun spice on the fries was weak (and I'm a wimp). I love that the fries were fresh cut, but I would have liked them crispier. It was a good family meal, fast and tasty.

I would have given them 5 stars, but they don't cook their fries enough without a special request for well done. I have been a five guys fan for a long time. I used to go to the original one in Northern VA and it was a true experience. Line out the door, greasy fries in a bag, great made to order burgers. Clientele included suits, construction workers, students, etc. Fast forward 15 years, to the chain experience in Csprings (among other locations I have visited). Five guys has pretty much become a formula now and the results are pretty good. Except for the fries thing mentioned above, its at the top of its game in this category, which I would compare to Fatburger (terrible in my book) and Smashburger (I would rate pretty highly). To those that compare it to In and Out, I don't think that is fair. In and Out is an institution, a cultural icon. There is a whole lot of mystique that comes with that name. Five guys is not there yet and I dont think is aspiring to get there.

I love to get the bacon cheeseburger

    (5)
  • Minny R.

If you LOVE heart-attack inducing big greasy burgers with fries, this is your place. Otherwise, it's your average burger joint. The complimentary salty peanuts is a nice touch. REGARDING THE MENU FOR FIRST TIMERS: If you order the regular "Hamburger" ... you'll be getting a double hamburger with two patties. The "Little Hamburger" has one burger patty. It's an interesting way to name things that no doubt makes some customers pay more.

  • Nick A.

"BLASPHEMER" they yell with much gnashing of teeth. "How Dare YOU?! Their food is made from Bacon-Flavored Butterfly Kisses and Unicorn hugs!" they shout at me. Regardless, my opinion is the same. Current burger-chain paragon Five Guys is just ok. Not stellar, not make you want to riot, just ok. The burgers are pretty good. They array of toppings is great, and the fact that their jalapenos are fresh and maintain their spicy bite is awesome. The fries are pretty good - but that's what will happen when they aren't made from potato byproduct pressed into a fry-shaped mold. Best of all, the price is right (cheap as hell.) What's wrong? Limited menu. ABSURD lines and crowds - which is always a huge detractor for me. The number one is that I didn't get in on the ground floor - I had people telling me for years how a bite would give me visions of Christ dressed in white waiting to rapture me, or that the smell would remind me of my first childhood trip to Disneyworld and unending happiness. Naturally, I end up expecting to much and am let down. That's not to say this place sucks - it's pretty good and I'll be back. What it doesn't do is live up to the hype, a statement that will surely get me crucified by 5 guys zealots.

Hamburgers are great but music was way too loud. You could hardly give your order without repeating and no one would turn music down.

  • Deryk E.

I love this place and on food alone it deserves 5 stars. This is the perfect burger. The kind of perfect you make at home only you did not have to make it which makes it taste better. The fries are also perfection in a bag. Large, fresh cut, salted nicely, and more than any one person should eat in one sitting. The reason this does not get 5 stars is the size, seating, and noise factor which are all the same thing. This place is small. 10ish tables, jammed together tightly and a small bar against one wall with another 6-8 seats. This place could be 3 times this size and probably fill up. Getting to the counter to order is not bad, you have a potato buffer so your not standing on top of people while they are eating. Getting to the drinks, which you fill yourself can be a challenge due to the small space and its right next to the food pick up section.

My favorite. When I want a great meal I go here. It's great every time!

Not much to add to the rest of the reviews, best burgers in town and the Cajun fries are AMAZING!!!

  • Tiffany C.

Best burgers I've every had! Love the fries too.

  • Genevieve B.

I'm going to be in the minority here and say that I've never been a fan of In-n-Out, therefore, the fact that these two joints are not comparable is a plus for me. The menu is small but the amount of food you get is daunting. An order of small fries easily feeds 2-3 people. The regular hamburger has got to be 1/2 lb easy. Once you add all the available toppings it's really a meal and a half. We went on a weekend during lunch rush and while it was difficult finding a seat service was fast. The dining room is small and crowded. They need to open a few more locations in my opinion. Until then I will continue to drive a gazillion miles up north for this truly tasty burger joint.

In n Out is better and fresher tasting. Too heavy on the burger toppings here. Fries are good, though.

  • Eric G.

Great burgers! The closest thing to In-N-Out I've found out here in Colorado

    (5)
  • Jim H.

By far the best burgers in town. As Eric R. said below, "The 3 and 4 star reviews are simply missing the point." I even suspect some who are reviewing 5 Guys haven't even eaten here as the items they say they've had don't exist. "A $10 combo"? There are no combos, much less $10 ones. And the idea that Crave across the street serves better burgers at a better price is laughable. Unlike 5 Guys, Crave can't make a real burger at all. They serve substandard burgers and then pile on mounds of unrelated toppings, (doughnuts, peanut butter, cream cheese, brisket, roasted duck, etc.), and charge you $8-12 for it. No, for the best real burger in town, at reasonable prices, ($3.69-$6.19), with all the free actual hamburger toppings you could want, there's nowhere else but 5 Guys. And the fries are outstanding, fresh, and actual potatoes (with one order feeding 2-3 people)! Even with the longest line at lunch time, I've never waited that long as the staff is fast and efficient. Anyone who wants a true burger that is fresh and fantastic will not be disappointed here.

Burgers, fries and cokes (drinks). That is about it! Good seating, but fills up fast. I was there 2 minutes after it opened and there were already people eating. I agree with everyone else. The burgers are really good and quite hearty/satisfying. Fresh, good, fast. What more do you need! Great location. Friendly staff. Iced tea was good. All in all, I will continue to go here. I love it (my heart may think otherwise!).

I have drivin by this place hundreds of times and tonight I finally pulled in and what a great decision that was! Burgers were the best, yes the best I have had in I don't know how long. Juicy, hot, full of flavor, filling, exactly the type of burgers that require a trip to the sink for a wash when you are done, and that is how it should be. Fries were on par as well. I will definitely go back to try the franks as well. Customer service was also excellent. This place is what I would call a diamond in the rough for sure. Go get some! Update: Just went back again only 2 nights later, the franks were just as good as the burgers, seriously lovin' this place!

  • Chris P.

I've honestly tried to get caught up in the passion of all their self-indulgent braggart signage and meat tear sheets adorning the place. I want to believe! However, the tastebudeth's declare only uninspired slops of beef dressed up somewhat. The concept looks like it should deliver, however I just can't get excited about the flavorless patties. I'm of the religion of flavor and no amount of freebie stackers could convince me 5-Duds holds rank in the realm of the best. Only in Texas are you allowed to grill up unseasoned burgers. I shouldn't be surprised, this town loves a good pancake meat-waffle of about the same flavor profile over at Conway's (another local "spot"). Maybe because I admittantly wasn't born in this town that I'll never get it. And please, let's all stop the comparisons to the holy grail out West. Even the fries aren't a close match. And no shakes either.

Great place for burgers! I have heard about Five Guys but never stopped in here until I was leaving the Air Force Academy and looking for a good lunch spot. This place was great, I have absolutely no complaints. Great burgers, I just had a cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato (two patties) and they give you 2-3 slices of cheese too, which lets you really taste the cheese in each bite. The fries were awesome!! They give you a lot though, so unless you want a ton just order a small. I liked the ability to snack on the peanuts while waiting for our burgers, nice touch. I do wish they had milkshakes.....

Ambiance: Crowded and noisy. You order at counter then wait at another area for your number to be called. This place gets very crowded, though the line moves fast, expect about a 5-8 minute wait for your burger after ordering during busy times. Limited seating gets full fast. A few tables outdoors. I ordered to go, and did not like the fact that there was a large group of us waiting in a very small designated area, and kept being bumped by people trying to get to the soda fountain. I also don't like waiting, hovering over people's table who are trying to eat -- they definitely need a larger space. Service: They move you through the ordering process quickly. Otherwise, unremarkable. Food: I am not big burger person, but I will venture to say this is probably the best burger in town. Great flavor. Was disappointed that for such a great burger, the only cheese option is processed American (which as we all know isn't really cheese anyway). I ordered the small fries, that were good, and had a lot of potato flavor, though the portion was huge (only ate about a third, and threw the rest away -- would be enough to split with someone else.) Overall, although I enjoyed my burger, I am not keen of putting myself through such a "frantic" process to get my meal. Good burger, though as others have pointed out, this isn't nearly on the same level as In-N-Out. I am not raving, but giving it a good passing grade.

Five Guys burgers, fries that's one fresh fried potato Pile on the goodness -Haiku Review

  • Doug B.

The old saying that sometimes "Less is More" is definitely proven out @ Five Guys. I read about the chain on FastFoodCritic.com and they refer to the Five Guys burger as the one to beat... I was even more pleased when I found out that Five Guys had opened the Colorado Springs location. In the less department -- the menu -- it's burgers, fries and drinks plus hot dogs and grilled cheese. That's it. A regular has TWO burgers and the "little" has one burger. I watched them put a fresh patty on the grill - nothing frozen here. And the Fries are fresh-cut as well. Reminds me of east-coast "boardwalk" fries. And yes, they have vinegar! In the more department - the quality - about the freshest burger in Colorado Springs. Very interestingly, Five Guys is right across from Fat Burger. It will be interesting to see how they (Fat Burger) fare. Also in the "more" department is the fixings. They are free and you can customize your burger. Now if we could get an "In-and-Out" here, we would have a trifecta of burger goodness right @ Woodmoor and Academy. The verdict: The burger was fresh and tasty. I'll be back!

    (5)
  • Rich S.

Definitely one of the best burger joints around! You tell them exactly what you want on your burger. They have my favorite french fries. It is always busy - but seems to move at a reasonable pace. I agree with one of the other reviewers - it would be nice if they had a few more drink choices.

I LOVE FIVE GUYS! The burgers are great and the fries are fresh cut, hot, and delicious! I travel to DC quite a bit, so I've eaten at Five Guys a lot. But I was really excited to see one open here. Of course, you're never quite sure whether it will be as good as the original. I took my kids here, hoping they would like it as much as I do. They've been fans of Smashburger and FatBurger for a while, but I'm proud to say they're converted!!! The "Regular Burgers" come with two patties, by default, so if you're not a big eater (or you just want to save room for the fries), order the small hamburger, which is only one patty. You have a ton of options for toppings, so check the menu before you order. Also, you can order "with everything", but it only includes certain items that highlighted on the menu, so check that too. The only thing I wish they had was an option for non-meat/beef eaters. My wife doesn't eat beef, and the only options are really a veggie sandwich or a grilled cheese. A chicken sandwich would be nice. A note for people with peanut allergies... don't go here. There are peanuts everywhere. Sorry. But seriously, try Five Guys. It's great food, and it's not terribly expensive.

5 Guys is not In n Out. That being said it is solid and puts together some rocking fare. And ohhh yeah, don't forget the grilled onions on your burger!

    (3)
  • Cobra K.

Ordered the Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger with mushrooms, grilled onions and mayo...awesomeness. Tip...if you get the fries, just order the regular size...enough for 2-3 peeps. They close at 10pm everyday.

Meh. Not sure what all the fuss was about. Burgers & fries are so-so, although you do get a ton of fries.

  • Lauren H.

I have to agree with a lot of the other reviewers--this place is pretty close to In N Out. If there was an In N Out in COS, I would without a doubt go there for my burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Til that happens, though, Five Guys does the trick. Cute place, very bright and lively. Unless you're really hungry, only order the smaller burgers and share the fries, because it's all huge. I went with my mom and a friend and we could have easily shared the small order of fries. That said, they are totally delicious, real, skin-on fries. Only issue I see with this place is that there are no milkshakes. Burgers and fries without milkshakes just doesn't make sense to me.

  • Eric O.

Oh my, oh my! You want a greasy messy cheesy burger with all the toppings you could imagine? Oh and you want fresh cut homestyle fries with that huge juicy burger too? Well Five Guys is just the place!!! If you are stopping in here to eat just bring your appetite. Five Guys is just flat out awesome food.

Very good but IN N OUT is still the best.

My son put it best. "God said, 'I want a burger." And this is what He got." Add fries, made from potatoes sliced on location, free peanuts, and ample portions. I guess you'd have Burger Heaven.

  • Michael S.

I can't give this place five stars because I'm from California, where In-N-Out Burger reigns supreme. That being said, when you are in an area where In-N-Out is unavailable, go to this place for your burger "fix". It was surprisingly good and I actually enjoy it.

  • Jeremy T.

We love this place!!! We just returned from out East and there's as much Five Guys spots as there are McDonalds. When we moved to Colorado Springs we were excited to see one located near our home. This place tops the list when you're looking for a good burger, and also the french fries and hot dogs are awesome as well.

I heard about 5 Guys somewhere when it opened in DC. Then I read the raves here. The burgers are REALLY GOOD. One might even venture to say they're kick-ass. I think I will go ahead and say that, actually. I got mine with grilled onions. I was hoping they'd be nice and sweet from the grilling and oh, they were. The onions combined perfectly with the bacon and BBQ sauce I added and man, I think I want to go back for another one. Right now. The fries...were OK. It's awesome that they have bottles of vinegar to bring to your table (or maybe that's just what we did). I think I like my fries a little less brown though. If you're really into potato-ey tasting fries then you will love these. Then again I forgot to try them cajun-style. I may be updating this review to five stars when I go back again. Either way you should definitely try this place, it's really good. I'll be going back.

I am not impressed, cheeseburger was very greasy (and not in a good way) as was the bun it was in. Only saving grace are fries. Smashburger is the way to go if you are looking for a good fast food burger.

Yikes! I like to think of myself as something as someone who knows a good burger when I see one. I've enjoyed places all over the US with good burgers, but I've never stepped into a Five Guys before. When I get a hankering for a good burger I will go back here. I would say the food is affordable and the service is quick. I went on a Saturday morning (5 minutes before they "opened" and the manager was at the door with it open. While we were there (20 minutes) they served over 40 groups of people and twice the line was out the door. The burgers are good because you can taste the meat, and then choose to put whatever you like on it. Worthwhile and tasty. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

One of the better fast-food burgers that I've had in a long time. The customizability will keep you coming back for more. The fries are very tasty and fresh-cut. If you can think of a burger combination, they can probably make it. The atmosphere is typical burger joint. Small tables, cramped conditions, and kinda noisy. What is nice is that they have a lunch bar facing outside, so for those of us that eat alone most of the time, it's a nice spot to hang and eat without taking up a whole table. I'll definitely stop back in once my cholesterol score gets too low again.

Excellent hamburgers and great fries. Not much else on the menu to order. I had the bacon cheeseburger with everything (including Frank's Red Hot sauce). At lunch, seating fills up fast. They also offer peanuts to munch on while waiting for your order to be called.

Great burgers, great fries, decent prices. A fun place to eat.

Tasty burgers, awesome fresh-cut fries, ooey gooey grilled cheese sandwiches - win! My review would have been 5 stars and not just 4, if they only had: 1) a kids menu (though the grilled cheese is small enough it's close) and/or milk and 2) milkshakes. Otherwise, Five Guys ROCKS! :)

I used to look forward to trips to the east coast to have a Five Guys hamburger. Their hot dogs are also grilled and great. They are very straight forward greasy burgers. Nothing fancy, just great tasting.

These guys make a darn good burger, and every time I go they are quick regardless of the line... I LOVE 5-Guys! Some people don't, but I am definitely NOT one of those people! But if you want an even better burger and you have a change to make it up to Denver, go to H-Burger!

Ever since I moved to Colorado Springs and discovered Five Guys, I have been hooked. Their burgers are perfect every time and taste amazing, especially when you're hungry. The cajun fries are delicious as well. The service is swift and efficient. I have only had an order screwed up once and they amended their mistake by letting me keep the messed up burger, making a fresh one the right way, AND giving me a coupon for a free burger on my next visit. They went above and beyond a tiny mistake. I am hooked on Five Guys for life.

Always FRESH....tons of toppings..I never eat beef and I actually tried a burger here and was impressed. The fries are unlike any other fries out there..you can taste the fresh quality and a regular order is pretty much a bag full. It's a very east coast vibe inside..fast paced..know your order and grab a table. Enjoy!

Great burgers and fries. I think they may be the best burgers for the price in the Springs.

Good burger joint. Nothing to get out of control excited about. They fry their burgers and their fries are fresh cut all natural. Order on the small side as their food gets big fast!

Great Food. Five Guys IS Five Guys. It doesn't compare with anyone or anything as all the ingredients are fresh, tasty and cooked to your liking! Why compare with ................... This Place Rocks! That's it. Watch out for weekend crowds. Especially if you have more than 3...seating can be hard to come by.

I eat out a lot, and this is one of the best burgers you can find anywhere, period.

Let's preface this by saying that I'm vegetarian. I hate burger places. I love Five Guys. The fries alone are a reason to go, they're fresh cut and fried perfectly (as you can tell by the other reviews.) Add to that the seriously decent veggie sandwich that is actually on the menu, and I was sold. This sandwich is whatever you make it. Mine had double sauteed mushrooms and onions along with the usual lettuce, tomato, etc. Delicious! If you hate crowds, don't go for Saturday lunch.

My forth visit and now I can judge it a little better. At first it was a novelty but for this type ( Smashburger, Fatburger, etc.) it is average. It beats McDonalds but who can't. The best thing is that you can customize with your choice of toppings. Fries are good and plenty and are enough to share with someone else.

Amazing burgers that are comparable to IN N OUT. Get it with sauteed mushroom and the grilled onions for truly melt in your mouth experience. For all you non burger lovers they also have great kosher dogs and grilled cheese. Don't forget to get your fries Cajun style as well. This place can't be beaten anywhere in the nation. The only thing missing would be the animal style from IN N OUT but it isn't really missed and is made up for by the numerous free toppings that one can add to their burger.

Def one of the best burger joints in town! Their fries are near impossible to beat, and the burger is made with whatever you want on it. Free shelled peanuts while you wait for your food. The only problem is figuring out what you want on your burger. Bacon? Cheese? Grilled onion? Bbq sauce? Ketchup? Mustard? Mayo? That's what I have trouble deciding. Maybe a little cheeseburger with grilled onion pickle ketchup mustard and mayo... I'm giving give stars for the fries. I think I prefer Drifters hamburger.

I enjoyed my burger with two patties and "everything" plus onions. I was really looking forward to the fries, they typically are excellent but were soggy and disappointing on this trip. They serve enough fries for 4 people as an individual serving. The wife-unit and I split an order and still ended up throwing half away. I think we would have eaten more but they were not very tasty. All in all, I would probably enjoy a Drifter Double-double more, and certainly an In-and-Out in LA is superior. The burger was very good, it just didn't blow me away like it had in the past. Ketchup is another issue. They only have one dispenser the day we visited and it was balky. If you sell as many fries as they do, don't you think two or more machines that work easily would be better. And the best would be if they would put the little plastic squeeze bottles on the tables. I miss those things, with the cheesy pictures of a waitress printed on them and all.

Oddly enough this happened again almost exactly but the GM I believe emailed me and had the corrected with 5 star service. Now if they all were run by this guy Id have no issues. Unfortunately they are not

I had a slightly bad experience, not with the food but with a worker, at this place and filled out the survey. I was so impressed that the owner called me the next day to apologize. I would recommend this place not just for the food but because the owner was wonderful.

Okay maybe the newness wore off but for the price we could have done so much better at Bunz, The Dive or heck even Drifter's. We paid for two adults and one child $35 for our meals which was just plain crazy to say the least for a burger joint. On top of that we felt like slugs after eating there due to all of the grease. Well we won't make that mistake again that is for sure. Pass.

Came here looking to try something new.. Wasn't disappointed! The little cheeseburger was actually the perfect size, and tastes great. Although the burgers could have been seasoned a little better. I also got a hot dog with grilled onions. I like how they slice open the hot dogs and grill them, that was awesome. But the grilled onions were actually cold so that sucked. The fries are AWESOME. But just a tip: rip your bag in half because the fries are EVERYWHERE. It's a little bit small inside and it was actually pretty cold with the AC on. The staff was friendly and attentive. All of the counters, tables, and the soda area were clean and well maintained. I would definitely come here again for a burger and fries. But I do have to say that Cy's on Uintah has a better burger!

This review is just based on the comment that was left by the Five Guys representative to my review. I did as you recommended shortly after your post and no one ever contacted me. You lose again Five Guys.

So this Saturday I tried the kosher dog. It was well worth the wait. I only wish there was bbq beans to go with it. The wait in line was about 15 minutes. But that just means you guys are doing the right thing. While observing orders being made, i was impressed with the since of urgency while keeping organized. But the overall "joy" I was use to was not as prevalent (not a complaint just an observation)

Burgers ate great and tasteu. I love the fries because you get to put malt vinegar on them. Do yummy. Had the hot dog, would not get that again. I think Costco or Sonic have a better hot dog for a quarter of the price

I've been to Five Guys at least 2 dozen times and I have only had one experience that could be considered off. I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger and didn't get the bacon. I went back up to where they call the numbers at and explained it to the guy. He remade the burger for me. Problem solved. I am shocked by all the bad reviews/comments of other people's experiences. I order on the app and its a very quick process even during the lunch rush. I've never had a dry burger. The BLT's are amazing if you love bacon. The fountain is great with all the flavors you can blend together. I love this place!!
